I already sought medical attention, it's fine. Not life threatening or even painful. It's an ache, is the best way to describe it.

I'm a scientist, not a doctor.
It's apparently nearly healed, not sure what nerve damage persists but... I'm fine.
Fine-ish, I guess.

No. I don't know what he would think — Jesus, I don't know what to think. I don't want to frighten him.
